Happy Birthday Johnny Appleseed!!

We had a FABULOUS time celebrating Johnny Appleseed's birthday this week. We learned all about the life cycle of an apple, practiced apple poems and songs, and tasted some scrumptious apple treats! Thanks to Pastor Shane Wheeler (Hallie's dad) for being a wonderful "Johnny" for us!! Thanks to Warehouse Grocery for donating enough apple pies for the whole first grade and Savannah Ausley (Joe's mom) for helping to serve. Thanks to all the parents who sent in bags of apples for our homemade applesauce and our apple bobbin', and thanks to Jessica Wheeler (Hallie's mom) for the yummy caramel apples she made for us.
